How do I acquire a fragrance?
The collection is available to approved private clients. Request private access — applications are reviewed before purchasing access is granted.
How long does the fragrance last?
Up to 24 hours on skin in our wear tests. Each fragrance is an Eau de Parfum with a 20% concentration of pure perfume oil, at the richest end of the Eau de Parfum range. Wear time varies with skin, application, and environment.
Where do you ship?
We deliver to the United States and Canada. Full-size bottles ship complimentary, insured and with signature required; Canadian duties and import fees may apply. View shipping details.
What if my fragrance is not for me?
Every full-size bottle is backed by our 30-Day Fragrance Guarantee. If it isn’t right for you, we will make it right with a refund or a replacement, and return shipping is on us. Start a return or read the policy.
Can I send a fragrance as a gift?
Yes. Select the gift option on the product page or at checkout, then enter the recipient’s delivery address during secure payment.

Velum Mystica was founded on a single conviction: that fragrance is the most intimate form of expression, and it deserves to be treated as art.
We are a house of haute perfumery in the most literal sense. Every fragrance is composed, blended from premium raw materials, and filled by hand, in limited batches, by the founder — not in a factory, not under license, not to a marketing brief. When a batch runs out, the next one is made by the same hands.
Every composition in our collection is built around a single question. What does sunlight become when it touches water? What blooms only after dark? What burns beneath the soil? Some answers are for her, some are for him, and some refuse the distinction entirely.
These are not questions with easy answers. The compositions are not simple. But that is the point.

My background in data science shapes my attention to detail, but scent is deeply personal to me—a balance of precision, instinct, and feeling. I want every bottle to express that care, from the first impression to the last trace on skin.

Discovery Vials
Orders of 2ml discovery vials only ship by standard service:
United States — USPS Ground Advantage, complimentary · 3–8 business days after dispatch
Canada — UPS Standard, $29 · 5–9 business days after dispatch (USPS cannot carry fragrance across the border)
Dispatch
Orders are typically dispatched within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Delays may occur due to carrier capacity, customs clearance, or other factors outside our control.
Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your carrier and tracking number. You can also ask Aria (our chat assistant) for your tracking information by providing your email address or order reference number.
Customs and Import Duties (Canada)
Canadian orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed on delivery. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the order total. We are not able to predict or control these fees.
Incorrect Address
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for packages lost or delayed due to an incorrect address. If a package is returned to us due to an undeliverable address, we will contact you to arrange reshipment — additional shipping charges may apply.
Wear it, live with it, and decide. If a full-size fragrance isn’t right for you, return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to your original payment method or a replacement. Return shipping is on us.
To honor this promise for every client, we simply ask that:
It is within 30 days of delivery.
It comes back in its original packaging — everything it arrived in.
It has been gently tried. A few sprays over a few days is all it takes to know whether a fragrance is yours, so we ask that at least 90% of the fragrance remains.
2ml discovery vials are made to be worn and cannot be returned. For private clients, they are the most graceful way to meet a fragrance first: explore the discovery vials.
How Returns Work
Start your return on our return page with the email you used at checkout.
We email you a prepaid USPS return label within 1–2 business days. Return shipping is free.
Pack the bottle in its original packaging and drop it off at any USPS location or blue USPS collection box.
We inspect it on arrival and issue your refund to the original payment method or ship your replacement. Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days.
If a returned bottle does not meet the conditions above, we will let you know and send it back to you at no charge.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged or with a defect, please contact us at hello@velummystica.com within 7 days of delivery with:
Your order reference number (found in your confirmation email)
A description of the damage or defect
Photos clearly showing the issue
We will send a replacement at no cost to you. No need to return the damaged item.
Wrong Item Received
If you received a different product than what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@velummystica.com. We will ship the correct item immediately and cover all associated costs.
Lost Packages
If your tracking shows your package as delivered but you have not received it, please first check with neighbors or your building's reception area. If the package is still missing, contact us within 14 days of the estimated delivery date and we will investigate with the carrier and work toward a resolution.

Yes. Approved clients may purchase discovery vials if they wish, or choose a full-size bottle directly. Sampling is optional.

No. Once approved, use your private access for future purchases.
How do I sign in on a new phone or computer?
Use Private Client Access on this page or at checkout. We email a 6-digit code to the address of your invitation. Your device remembers you for 30 days.
May I give a bottle as a gift?
Of course. As a private client, you can send a bottle as a gift within the United States or Canada.
What if my application is not approved?
You will receive the outcome by email. If access cannot be granted now, you are welcome to apply again in the future.

Velum Mystica ("we," "us," or "our") operates velummystica.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website or place an order.
By using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you:
Place an order — name, email address, shipping address, and payment details. Payment details (card numbers) are processed entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
Request private access — name, email address, state or province and country, the fragrances you are drawn to, and what you choose to tell us about your fragrance preferences and how you were introduced. We use this to review your application, email you the outcome, and manage your private client access.
Confirm private client access — your email address and a one-time code we send to it. Your browser stores a signed access token for 30 days; you can remove it at any time by signing out.
Contact us — name, email address, and the content of your message.
Use our chat assistant — messages you send to Aria, including any email address or order reference you share to look up an order.
We also collect limited usage information automatically through the analytics services described in Section 4 — pages visited, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, and how you interact with the site. This data is aggregated and is not used to personally identify you. We do not sell this data or use it for third-party advertising, and we do not build customer profiles beyond what is necessary to fulfill your order and improve the site.
3. How We Use Your Information
To process and fulfill your order, including sending order confirmation and shipping notifications.

To provide order status information through our chat assistant.
To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with the following trusted third-party providers to operate our service:
Stripe — payment processing. Your payment details are entered on Stripe's hosted page and are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Stripe also processes device information, IP addresses, cookies, and interactions with payment components to display payment options, prevent fraud, and improve its services.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) — website hosting, file storage (S3), and serverless compute (Lambda) in the United States.
EmailJS / Amazon SES — transactional email delivery (order confirmations, contact form responses).
Anthropic — powers our AI chat assistant (Aria). Messages sent to Aria may be processed by Anthropic's API. We do not use this data for model training.
Google Analytics — website usage analytics (pages visited, traffic sources, purchases). Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session analytics (heatmaps and interaction recordings) that help us improve the site experience. Text you type into forms is masked. Governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
5. Cookies
We use browser storage (localStorage) to maintain your shopping cart across page visits; your cart data lives only in your own browser. In addition, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set first-party cookies to distinguish visitors and measure site usage, as described in Section 4. These cookies are not used for third-party advertising. You can block or delete them at any time through your browser settings without affecting your ability to shop.
6. Data Retention
Order records (name, email, shipping address, items purchased) are retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the order, handle any inquiries, and comply with applicable tax and legal obligations — typically up to 7 years. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@velummystica.com; we will honor requests unless retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Our services are operated in the United States. If you are located outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US. By using our website, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

2. Products and Pricing
All prices are listed in US dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice. We make every effort to display accurate product information and pricing, but we reserve the right to correct errors and to cancel orders placed at incorrect prices.
Product images are for illustrative purposes. Bottle imagery is derived from photographs of the actual products and digitally refined; backgrounds and settings are digitally composed illustrations. The appearance of products may vary slightly from images shown on the website.
Fragrance descriptions, scent notes, and character tags are provided as guides. Individual scent perception varies by skin chemistry, environment, and personal physiology. We cannot guarantee that a fragrance will smell identical to its description on every person.
3. Orders and Payment
All fragrances are available to private clients approved by Velum Mystica. Applying does not guarantee purchasing access, and we may extend or withdraw private client access at our discretion. This includes 2ml discovery vials and the Discovery Set. Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order. You will receive an order confirmation email once your order is accepted and payment is confirmed.
Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards, eligible digital wallets, and available pay-over-time options shown at checkout. Payment method availability depends on your location, order, and provider eligibility. Third-party financing terms are provided by the selected payment provider. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and that the information provided is accurate.
For individually approved US customers, Velum Mystica may offer a private purchase payment plan. Select an agreed down payment of at least $1 at checkout and pay the balance over 1 to 12 automatic monthly card payments, starting one month later. Each monthly charge must be at least $0.50. Exact amounts are shown at checkout; any rounding adjustment is included in the final payment. There is no interest or financing fee, and billing ends after the agreed payments. Previously issued three-payment plans retain their original schedule. You authorize Stripe to store your payment method and collect these payments for Velum Mystica. Our return policy applies; contact us about a return so we can arrange any applicable refund and stop remaining payments.

Shipping estimates are not guarantees. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers or customs authorities.
Risk of loss and title pass to you upon delivery to the carrier.
5. Returns and Refunds
Full-size fragrances are covered by our 30-Day Fragrance Guarantee: within 30 days of delivery you may return a full-size bottle for a full refund to your original payment method or a replacement, provided it is returned in its original packaging and shows acceptable use only — lightly tested, with at least 90% of the fragrance remaining. Return shipping is free via a prepaid USPS label we provide; returns are started at velummystica.com/start-return. Returned bottles that do not meet these conditions are not eligible and will be sent back to you. 2ml samples are not returnable. In addition:
Damaged or defective product — if your order arrives damaged or defective, contact us at hello@velummystica.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage. We will send a replacement at no cost.
Wrong item shipped — if you receive an item different from what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will correct the error.
We are not responsible for packages lost or delayed due to incorrect shipping addresses provided at checkout. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, we will contact you to arrange reshipment at your expense.
6. Product Availability
Our fragrances are produced in limited batches. We do not guarantee continuous availability of any product. If an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed, we will contact you promptly to offer a full refund.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on velummystica.com — including but not limited to text, product descriptions, fragrance names, brand names, logos, images, and design elements — is the property of Velum Mystica and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this website without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the website is free of viruses or other harmful components.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Velum Mystica shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website, products, or services — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
